Where you'll sleep

The space

The living room is made for downtime: a sofa that pulls out to a queen, a 65 inch smart TV and two big recliners.

The kitchen sits next to the living room and has newer, better-than-rental-grade appliances plus a full set of newer pots, pans and utensils, so cooking in is easy.

Two full bathrooms: one in the primary bedroom and one off the hallway. Every guest gets a bath towel, hand towel and washcloth.

We leave a starter set to get you going: paper towels, dish soap, hand soap at the kitchen sink, two trash bags, two rolls of toilet paper and a hand soap in each bathroom. For longer stays you may want to bring more.

Guest access

The duplex has a shared staircase to the two condos, and each has its own outside entrance from the driveway. You have the whole condo, a washer and dryer just for this unit in the shared first-floor laundry room (plenty of space for beach, bike or fishing gear), and use of the dock area out back: the dock and the small yard around it, with chairs and a picnic table. The deck belongs to Sunsets on 17 and is private to its guests.

Good to know

• Check-in after 4:00 PM, checkout by 12:00 PM.
• 8 guests maximum, children included. No unregistered guests on the property.
• Quiet hours 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• No pets.
• No smoking or vaping.
• No parties or events. This is a quiet, family-friendly duplex, not a party house. Unruly or destructive groups will be asked to leave without a refund under Town of Ocean City ordinances and Maryland law.
• The person booking must be 25 or older and must stay at the property. Guests under 25 send a copy of a government photo ID before check-in.
• The main living area is on the second floor, up a flight of stairs. There is no elevator.
• An exterior security camera is present on the property.

Stays of 2 to 14 nights (some dates need more). Cleaning fee $150 per stay. Maryland sales tax and Worcester County room tax are added to every stay and shown line by line before you pay. Read the full rental terms.

The neighborhood

17th Street puts you steps from the bay and a short walk from the beach, the boardwalk, mini golf, restaurants and bars. Bring bikes; you won't need the car much.

One driveway spot (two cars fit, tightly) and plenty of free street parking around the condos, except on the busiest downtown weekends (Fourth of July, the White Marlin Open, the air show and festival weekends), when street spots fill up fast. Ocean City has an affordable bus system and plenty of Uber drivers if you'd rather leave the car parked.

Your hosts

We own both condos in this duplex and run them ourselves, with no management company in between. Tell us what kind of trip you're planning and we'll send restaurant, fishing and kid-friendly picks. Prefer to be left alone? Just say so. Our family sometimes uses the garage as a staging area for beach and boat days, so feel free to say hi.
